Recommendations, location and lighting

Correct lighting enables the apparition of  interesting shadows on the object and on the surface on which it sits.  Because the object is 3D every part can let appear a new aspect. Therefore proper lighting enables to refresh the display  by rotating the object and positioning it in different directions.

Location lighting:

We recommend a pleasant lighting, not too strong, preferably a side lighting  and avoid dazzling people  present in the room.

If the  object is presented in a showcase or in a niche , lighting should preferably come from above  or  diagonally rather than directly, in order to emphasize the object while using light and shadow games.

Color lighting:

It depends essentially on the  variety of colors present in the room.

I personally like to use yellow, which creates a warm atmosphere, but of course we must take into account the present situation in the room.

Lighting distance:

It is recommended to use cold light fixture (not Halogen lighting or light bulbs-which can sometimes damage potteries, when focused creating cracks on the surface and eventually blow up the object)

It is recommended to find out a proper angle which enables shadow apparitions

The light source should be located so it will not will hide the object from the angle it is viewed.

Another option is to use focused lighting, such as spot lights with almost no diffuse light

If hot lighting source are used it should  be sufficiently remote from the object.

Surface:

It is recommended to place the object on a surface with a  color opposite

to the color object. But the surface color should be light enough to let appear shadows .For example, for a dark gray object is  advisable to use a cyan  surface color.

Cleaning

Do not touch the object with  dirty hands.

Dust can be taken out with a soft and clean brush .Water should not be used.

I enclose herewith all the basic information  concerning myself,my conceptions,

my present works and general instructions concerning the positioning of the objects in their space
